If you create 3d models for use with a 3d printer, you deserve to get paid. To get started now, go to https://models.makewithtech.com, create an account, and enter your Buy Me a Coffee ID. Then share an OpenSCAD customizable model to earn tips. In addition, you will be automatically entered into the Models @ MakeWithTech cash reward program for the first 150 shared models. Additional details follow below.
A couple of months ago, I released a free website providing faster Thingiverse(1) searching and a working OpenSCAD customizer. Thousands of people have already tried the site and provided valuable suggestions.
Now Models @ MakeWithTech supports sharing and searching for models posted in the MakeWithTech model directory and searching on Thingiverse.
As a creator, you can upload and share 3d printer models designed in OpenSCAD and earn money in two ways.
Earn tips through Buy Me a Coffee
Here's how:
Set up an account at Buy Me a Coffee and enter your I.D. into your Models @ MakeWithTech account profile. Anytime a user downloads a model from the results page, they will have an opportunity to tip you via the Buy Me a Coffee widget.
Earn cash for uploading models
I will pay cash for the first 150 models uploaded and accepted on the site. Here's how:
Earn $10 for your first upload, $20 for your second, $30 for your third, and $10 for each uploaded model after three.n Payments are limited to 20 models per creator. The MakeWithTech team reserves the right to reject any models. Additionally, all models must include a license for non-commercial use. Payments for models will be made via PayPal by the end of July.
Ready to get paid?
Head over to https://models.makewithtech.com. Create a completely free account, enter your Buy Me a Coffee ID, and share a model. To share a model, click on the outlined cloud icon in the top menu bar.
Some Fine Print
Models shared for participation in any incentives or compensation program on this site, including contests and tips, must include an OpenSCAD script compatible with the customizer on this site, a sample STL file, and an image of the model. The OpenSCAD script file must be at least 50% different from other models and must include at least 20 lines of code, not including comments. MakeWithTech reserves the right, in our sole discretion, to exclude any models from this site, remove models and block the participation of model authors submitting models that do not meet our standards.
Thanks for your time. Let's learn together and make money together.
